What is a softphone?
A VoIP Softphone is software that enables you to make & receive voice calls over the internet from any internet-enabled device such as a desktop, laptop, mobile phone or tablet.
Softphones can be installed and used on any device. The primary screen has a dial pad, just like a telephone, offering an easy-to-use interface to make and receive calls. Softphones offer high mobility and are assigned to a user rather than a piece of hardware, meaning, your agents can access their softphone from any device, anywhere. All they need is a good internet connection to get started.
How does it work?
A VoIP Softphone works just like a telephone, except the call is routed over the internet and can be initiated & received from multiple devices.
